Founded in 2009, Hantai New Materials is a Chinese company that specializes in the production of thermal insulation and abrasion resistant products for hoses, cables, pipes, tubes, and equipment. It is dedicated to enhancing safety and production efficiency for customers across the globe.
The Development Course
Pioneering the Thermal Insulation and Abrasion Resistant Product Field
- In 2009, three like-minded individuals founded Hantai New Materials. Mike Zeng, with over 5 years in thermal insulation product sales and marketing, and the Zhao brothers, each having over 10 years in the silicone rubber field, formed a research team.
- They developed China's first firesleeve with double polymer silicone rubber coating, a technique still in use today. The company started with 7 production lines for insulation sleeving and coating products.
Advancing with Research and International Reach
- Hantai established its R&D department by bringing in Dr. Yang, a Nottingham graduate with a PhD in high-temperature materials and nanotechnology.
- With the formation of an export team, Hantai products began to enter the global market.
Expansion and Diversification
- Hantai relocated to a new industrial zone, adding 2 workshops with 9 production lines and a new office building.
- The company expanded its product range and set up a custom fabrication department.
Continued Growth and Product Expansion
- The production plant grew to 4 workshops with 15 production lines, and the product range extended to include sleeving, tape, rope, fabric, and custom fabrication.
2012Milestones and Geographic Expansion
- Hantai acquired its industrial zone.
- Production facilities expanded to 30 weaving and 15 coating lines, and the Tiny Sleeve Department with 100 production lines was established.
- The first Industrial Grade Firesleeve in China was developed. Hefei and Guangzhou branches were opened.
Strategic Upgrades and Capacity Expansion
- Hantai upgraded its brand with the mascot Ant Defender and led in firesleeve workshop environmental protection upgrades.
- Through innovation, firesleeve production capacity reached 30 lines. Construction of two 10,000m² workshops began.
Completion of Expansion and Enhanced Production
- Two 10,000m² workshops were completed and operational, along with a 5,000m² warehouse.
- Firesleeve production facilities upgraded to 40 weaving and 30 coating lines, with an annual output of 2.5 million meters and size range up to 160mm ID.
